Unique Therapeutic Approaches
John became interested in the work of Milton Erikson around 25 years ago and has naturalised Eriksoniian therapeutic strategies to work effectively with extremely hard to reach children and young people. John trained as a Person-Centred Therapist between 2004 and 2006. John uses both Eriksonian and Rogerian therapeutic techniques in his approaches, which are essentially client centred and focused on empowering the individual. John is therefore consistently able to assess and work with extremely hard to reach children and young people, who have, often for several years, elected not to engage other professionals. This has resulted in exceptional client feedback and service demand over a significant geographic area.
Autism
John expertly uses his knowledge of Autism-recognised approached to interaction, teaching and learning, his depth of experience, and his unique therapeutic approaches. John is therefore consistently able to engage and assesses children and young people, often profoundly affected by Autism Spectrum Condition. John has become nationally recognised in this field and there exists high service demand for service delivery across a wide geographic area.
Pathological Demand Avoidance
John has become specialised in using his deep understanding of anxiety-based demand-avoidant profiles to engage and assess often hard to reach children and young people. John has achieved national recognition, particularly in accurately assessing and supporting children, young people with Pathological Demand Avoidance [PDA] and families to access appropriate provision through SEN Tribunal.
